We as a nation are in three theaters of war: Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Libya. The former two are at the hand of our own government – a government which we as a nation voted for. The latter has absolutely no national security interest whatsoever, but is the scariest one of them all. Why? Because Mr. Obama (I can not call him President since he has not satisfied Article II of the United States Constitution), has done something no occupier of the Oval Office has done. He has not consulted Congress, nor has received their consent on deploying our Armed Forces to fight in a theater of war. Mr. Obama is now taking his orders from the United Nations, since it is that “governing body” that desired to go in Libya in the first place. Regardless of how you may feel politically about Mr. Obama, this act can only be classified as one thing – Treason. He has committed this in the full view of the entire United States Congress and with their consent by doing nothing, instituted his first act as king.
If Obama is willing to ignore the Constitution for his own personal or political reasons, and command our Armed Forces to fight a “war” abroad, how long will it be when he decides to wage war on the U.S. citizen? To think at this moment that we have not entered into a Police State is naive and foolish. Yet Sunday after Sunday, those behind the pulpit choose to ignore the warnings given, just like those preachers in Nazi Germany did – until they found themselves chained to a post inside a rail car heading for a concentration camp.
At the time of this posting, scores of American citizens under the Patriot Act are having their Constitutional rights violated. From having their First Amendment rights trampled on by a student not being allowed to bring a Bible to school. To the Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano calling Bible believing Christians terrorists. Yet those who sit in the pew are being told every week, “Obey the laws of the land” as I wrote about last year in “The Church in America is Finally Getting What They Wanted“.
In my opinion we are seeing the fulfillment of I Samuel 8:5 where the men of the city – the people who had control over who governs them, said to Samuel, “Give us a king so we can be like the other nations”. When you read the chapter in the proper context, you will discover it was the corruption of the priests that caused the people to cry out for a king in the first place.
There is lot of rumblings of “revival” or “awakening” throughout our country, but what most preachers won’t tell you is that before that takes place, God will purge His Church. He normally will do this in two ways: Through genuine repentance – which should be done from the top down; or through the persecution of His people. God is giving the Church in America a space of time to make her decision on how the purging process will take place. However, if she does not make that decision in the time allotted, God will make it for her. I wrote last year a post called “Embrace the Cross or the Crosshairs” where I stated, “Either we embrace the world’s ways and become a target of God’s wrath, or we embrace the the cross and become the target of a rifleman’s crosshairs”.
The scope is locked, the wind is still, and his finger is on the trigger. Who’s blood will be spilled in America? The Lord’s or yours?
